'Criez pour aller plus vite !' means 'Scream to go faster!' in French.
Hand painted sign done as part of a personal colour and lettering test.
Traditional fairground decoration techniques used include painting over aluminium leaf and using flamboyant varnishes. The 'ali leaf' behind the lettering catches the light making the sign shine from various angles.
This is one of four original designs by Jill Strong, using French fun-fair phrases.
